Review: Urban Veda Radiance Day Cream

So a lot of people will have received some Urban Veda products in their summer Glossy Boxes, and boy am I glad I did.

Urban Veda was a brand I had never heard of before, and clever old Glossy Box took into consideration my dry skin orientated beauty profile and sent me the day cream, which was greatly appreciated. I didn't actually start using it until about October, when the temperature really dropped in the UK; my skin dried out like a raisin and I was left with horrible breakouts. So not nice, but I must say the Radiance Day Cream really came to my rescue.

Urban Veda works through grouping skin types like most great skincare brands, but have a different method by determining your 'Dosha'. As I have dry skin, my dosha is 'Vata', and so the range recommended for me is the 'radiance' products. In their own words 'Brimming with phytonutrients, antioxidants and with hydrators infused with anti-inflammatory peptides to impart luminosity to skin, our Radiance range helps to balance skin tone while boosting collagen and skin elasticity.'

The first thing I noted about this cream is it's gorgeous smell, it's very natural, I can't quite put my finger on a likeness, but you can just tell it's going to be good for your skin.

As well as doing what it says it's going to do, by hydrating my skin, I was amazed at how well it seemed to even out my skin tone in the morning before I put my makeup on. I literally can't believe the effect it has. It also sinks in nicely and leaves your skin feeling refreshed, unlike a lot of moisturisers that will just sit on top of your skin.

I liked the little sample from the Glossy Box so much that the full size jar was an immediate choice for my Christmas list. As far as I'm aware, you can only purchase it off their own website, but I was told it arrived within days after ordering, in the last week before Christmas - pretty good going I think. The full size 50ml jar is £14.99, so fairly expensive, but for me worth every penny, especially as you don't even need to use much - it's going to last me ages.

Another great thing about this holistic brand is that they're against animal testing, and approved by the Vegetarian Society, which can only be a good thing.

I am in love with this cream; I think it does wonders for my skin, and the great thing about this brand is they do specific products for different skin types or 'doshas' (it's all explained on the website) that are labelled clearly, so there's no confusion. I would thoroughly recommend looking into this brand and trying it out, you won't be disappointed.
